September is a month of change. The biggest change being the change of seasons.
For many it is also the beginning of the new school year or the beginning of university.
I love September.
In the mornings you have to wrap yourself up in your favourite jumper, but you can still eat breakfast outside.
I did that this morning, staying true to my goal of the month: having nice breakfasts.
I went outside first, to harvest raspberries from the vegetable plot, I was amazed by how many there still were!
I then ate the raspberries with yoghurt, oats and chia seeds on the deck in the sunshine. I also drank fresh pressed orange juice.
Nature is also changing, summer flowers are wilting, the autumn flowers are starting to bloom, the trees are coloured, still a mix of both green and hints of yellow and orange.
There was rain, finally, another sign that autumn is approaching. Misty mornings, grey skies and falling leaves are more signs.
Have you noticed any subtle signs of autumn creeping in?
This morning while walking through the garden, I noticed that the first conkers have fallen, shining, glistening between the grass.
It gets dark a lot earlier than it did 3 weeks ago, foreshadowing the cosy evenings, snuggled up with a book, a warm drink and candles.
For nature September is the month of change, for me it will be October. But more on that later.
I hope you enjoy this time of transition, see you soon.

I’ve noticed the slight morning chill here in NYC—we start the day in sweaters and end them in tank tops! How I love the season of autumn!❤️
